war About low level loot

First of all I'd like to state that I am new to the WAR game, new to
the Warhammer world in general and also I am not very keen on communicating with ppl, so I m also pretty new to forums etc.

On the other hand I am averagely experienced with MMOs. I ve played a bit of WoW like most ppl, DDO for quite a bit, I also gave Vanguard a chance but well that didnt work..
So anyway my point is that what i am talking about in this, is purely what I personally think, so feel free to tell me i got no idea what i am talking about and this might well be completely wrong etc etc

So far i ve made it up to lvl 16 with numerous characters n what i ve noticed is that this game lacks loot. Seriously. 

Examples:

I formed this warband the other day n we took down the boss in the Elf vs D Elf Tier 1 RvR zone, the one inside the cave that opens with the runes. It took us 2 hours at least coz let s face it we suck, and of course she dropped nothing. Whats the point of killing her then!?!
In my first days in the game, when it was 5 AM and RvR and Scenarios were well dead I thought "well this game says I should go explore, get unlocks n goodies let's try n find some hidden stuff". So I went.. I found all kinds of champions and Heroes abandonned n hidden in corners of Tier 1. I killed em all and we are talking about long fights. No Drop. Nadda. Anything. A few brass coins at best in total of taking down 4-5 Heroes and around 20 champions.

These mobs are not part of any Quest, they dont unlock anything in the tome (well most of them anyway) so erm.. shouldn't they drop something? You know, for your effort to go to all the parts of the zone that ppl dont go and find em?

I hope this is not 100% WoW mentality, coz i dont wanna bring it around, but my guess is these things should reward the players.

In addition, RvR should give some more loot. Any kind, even crappy one...
It s the feeling that you get something for something you ve done, it s not the items themselves. 3 hours of defending and assaulting and all you got in your backpack is at best 1 item you greed rolled and won amongst 15 ppl

Is it only me who feels this game needs a loot injection?
Your absolutely right, this is 100% WoW mentality.

This is not ment to offend you, as I played WoW untill WHO and my first experience was, that in contrary to
WoW, you do not need to kill certain Monsters in order to get gear.
Only the Sets do require certain locations, like Dungeons or RvR, the rest is nearly completly random.

So you can do RvR, Kill Mobs or hunt down Champions while exploring the map and always have a chance to get some
superior Loot. While leveling we found dozends of blue Items, some purple ones without even searching for them.

Some of the Champions are required for Tome unlocks, so maybe at the end, you will discover a deeper connection.

I am currently Level 37, with a Twink in Tier 2 and one in Tier 3, and never run into any itemisation problems. In most cases I even have a hard time, wich of the three Helmets e.g. wo wear. Therefore I put my focus on RvR and Renown Gear.

Which leads to my second point. Don't waste your time in PvE, this is a RvR Centric game, consider the PvE Content as Tic-Tac-Toe while waiting for your Keep-Raid or the Scenario Invitation.

My personal advice is, if you looking for WoW like PvE Content, buy the Addon. If you love PvP, forget how you have played WoW and keep playing WHO.
there's actually been a recent and significant buff to loot in RvR. See a note from the 1.0.4b patch below.

- When conquered, Keeps will always provide three gold loot bags and Fortresses will now offer six guaranteed gold loot bags as part of the chest loot.

Further, with character transfers consolidating the server population and RvR becoming more and more lucrative, I think we'll see more and more Open RvR. Also, I think it's somewhat of a learning experience. Yes, currently, many play WAR as they played WoW because (gah) they come from WoW. Making the best out of WAR require a different mind-set, more cooperation and just a longing for awesome.
i wish they had this update from the start lol I've gotten first and second a few times already but have only won blue and green bags so far...Ill post my agreement with the OP
There are so many random champions and heroes, it would really be a benefit to the game if they dropped decent loot.
I don't mean stuff that's required or even great items, but just some stuff that may be usefulHaha longing for awesome. Thats great.

I've found that champs and heros tend to have a better loot table, but still have a chance of dropping nothing. This is from me back tracking to T1 zones so I can finish all my quests and killing all the special mobs I can.

In particular your chance of scavenging or butchering them is also much more likely to yield nice stuff.

What I'd have liked would either more tome unlocks, (like if its a random champ/hero with no quest/PQ association, it should have a tome unlock) or always have it drop something the first time, like the Lab bosses in DAoC, even if its just a trophy or fluff item.

When the game is aged, people will have figured out who's who to kill for what chance of getting what loot piece. Then it will make more sense. Right now most are still clueless if a loot peice is rare enough to even be worth auctioning , much less how much for
I agree with lam.

I think these Heros or Champions should drop something. Probably fluff visual tings like a Trophy.
I mean if I am soloing to kill time and doing a quest and that quest takes me into a Champion guarding the quest piece I should get something for killing the Champion , not just the quest exp for that aprt.

I'm not talking gear that would make a difference but a Trophy...skull, beard, tail, foot, gem, etc things to make you look cool.

I mean if they took out the aging grow effect that would make you look different then put in some graphical looks.

Too many players look alike because the same gear drops from the PQs and Renown vendors.

Where is our cool looking trophy's at T2 or T3.

I did get one on T2 though lol DE trophy
This is a 110% WOW mentality. This is not a loot focused game. It's a world war focused game....and thusly it's a fun focused game. Fun is alot more than farming loot. If that's your only kind of fun, then you should adjust and expand your fun horizons with W.A.R., or a more loot-farming oriented game is for you.

Thanks for the update, Magnus! Considering that this isn't a loot focused game then shouldn't it be no problem to slightly up the drop rates of loot you encounter at the lower tiers? 
I do not advocate specific mobs dropping loot, that is dangerous territory. However maybe injecting a few more loot bags into lower level PQs or upping the scenario item drops would be possible?
They've actually increased loot bags already in all PQs, in open beta i remember only seeing like 3 or 4 bags sometimes and now you get like 6. I think they should mandate certain bags though like at least a blue bag or two because going through an entire PQ and seeing only greens is disheartening to me.
